How good can an AIM
business be? Well, let me tell you a little about
myself. My name is Tim Howlett, and I am twenty nine
years old. After I finished college, I worked for six
years in software development. My career was secure
and fairly lucrative--I earned around 100K/year for the last
three years. However, I was not happy--I was tired of
the traffic, the lack of flexibility, and the office
politics.
Just over two years ago,
I started my AIM business. It grew fairly rapidly, and
just recently, I made a decision to leave my comfortable
full-time job. Now, my life is very different. I
dress in shorts and a tee shirt, and work different hours
every day. I take extended lunches, and spend a good
deal of time in the backyard hitting golf balls with my
pitching wedge. I can spend time with my two-year-old
son whenever I want, and we can take day trips with or
without our business going with us. (I carry a cell
phone and a laptop) And, by the way, I make a
substantial income.
On the other hand, the
pressure on me to make my business produce is much greater
than when I did not need the income from it. Now, AIM
pays for the groceries, and my mindset has changed
accordingly. I see every day as a challenge against
forces that could potentially put me out of business.
I work now probably more than ever, though it does not seem
like it.
In summary, I love it.
I like the good and the bad--the flexibility in my schedule,
but also the pressure of knowing that the decisions I make
every day could make a huge difference in our bottom line.
Would you enjoy this kind
of life? Maybe you want to be your own boss and work
in your pajamas within a few years. Or maybe, you just
want a few hundred extra dollars a month to pay off the
mortgage quicker. Regardless, AIM is undoubtedly a
great vehicle for you to use. I am more convinced of
that fact now than ever before.
